OK, I walk 2.5 miles from my hotel to R&R BBQ, open the door, and it's too crowded to get in - good sign - so far so good. It took about 30 min standing in...

This place never disappoints. One of the best BBQ joints in Utah. The price is what is expected for good BBQ and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The management takes the time to visit each guest to ensure they are having an enjoyable time and that the food was perfect. They even like to joke a little. The only problem with a place like this is you go straight into a food comma!

This is a BBQ review. It doesn't have to be complicated. I had the BBQ Pork Sandwich with a side of red beans and rice. The meat on the sandwich was good, I don't know that it was any better or worse than any other BBQ place I have been to in Salt lake, the Bun was good, and I especially like the slaw and pickles (crunchy). The beans and rice was not what I was expecting when I hear beans and rice, this was More like Beans with rice mixed in, it was very soupy and not Beans and ricey. They tasted fine, but just different than I was expecting. Overall I would say the sandwich was better than Dickey's or some of the other chains, but I wouldn't say it was awesome. It was however expensive, almost $10 for a sandwich and 1 side. I left a little hungry and feeling like I over paid. Also they had 3 Sauces on the table and I didn't really think any of them were very good, not bad, but not great. I probably prefer the sauces at Dickey's, but the meat here seemed better to me.

Having lived in Atlanta and spent a good amount of time in Texas just leaves me feeling like BBQ in Utah just is lacking. I have 2 kids and I would probably choose Dicky's over this place just because it has free ice cream and pickles and is probably 30% cheaper. The food is probably better here, but it is not worth the extra price to me (I'm cheap).

I tried this for the first time today. I can say, with complete sincerity, that this is the finest restaurant food that I have had in Utah. I got a variety of food in order to get a good sampling. For the sides, I tried Baked Beans and Mac and Cheese. Both were very good. Try mixing some BBQ in with the Mac. Delicious. The roll was fantastic. The sliced brisket was very good. The sausage was excellent. The pulled pork was incredible. But the ribs. My goodness, the ribs! They were absolutely the best ribs that I have ever had in my life.

I will be returning soon, eager to try out more of the menu. And I'm certain that I will return many, many times in the future.
